Balochistan is a very largest province by area in Pakistan. It is blessed with a unique landscape. It is blessed with natural resources. Although the province is not very developed, the people are hardworking and known for their crafts, arts and beautiful gardens.

Recent development project in Turbat region has attracted many tourist and travellers to make a stop here. But Makran division covers three important districts including Turbat Kech, Panjgor and Gwadar; each of which has its own beauty and characteristics.

TURBAT

Turbat literally means the grave. The name might have been given due the extreme hot weather. Although the weather gets to extremes in summer but the district is beautiful and very unique landscape. Many of the spots are famous for picnic around the region include small waterfalls and ponds.

Mountains covered areas are also famous for day trips include Nali, Garuk, Saad, Chappi, Ghaaji kour among others.

PANJGOR

Panjgor is second district in Makran division. The word Panjgor is made of two Persian words; Panj meaning five and Goor meaning grave. The area is centrally located in the Balochistan province and has many archaeological sites and ruins.

The city is very old and is said to be inhibited by Buddhists before Islam. River Rakshan flow in the district and qanat- underground water channel keep the city cool. This region is known for its delicious dates.

GAWADAR

Gwadar is the third and well known district in Makran division. It is known for its deepest sea port in the world and the central project for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. The word Gwadar come from two Balochi words; Gowat meaning air and Darr meaning door. The city has a massive importance due to its geographical location.

Many people visit Gwadar for the untouched beaches on the Arabian Sea. The coastal line is stretched wide and is not polluted by big ships and boats.
